Where to find nickel deposits? Questions and ways
1 IntroductionMagmatic nickel sulfide deposit is Chinese traditional name, but it is called magma Ni-Cu-PGE sulfide deposits in the Europe and the United States (magmatic Ni-Cu-PGE sulfide deposit, and Co behind Cu added basing on the content of Co), we have translated it into magmatic copper-nickel (platinum group elements) sulfide deposits most of the time. Canada, Russia, Australia and China are the most important production of magmatic Ni-Cu and PGE sulfide deposits in the world. The United States, South Africa and Zimbabwe is also important, however the main outputs is platinum-group metals. Especially the United States Duluth which nickel metal reserves is about 8,000,000 tons, but the average grade only 0.2 percent,so that cant be used. Although Duluth has huge reserves, it hasnt industrial value of the nickel deposit. According to the latest statistics of the world, the largest reserves of nickel metal deposits is Russias Norilsk which is the third place in the past, it including the mining of nickel metal reserves of 23,201,000 tons, it is the mainly reason that there have been found the new (physical) size outside of ore deposit in the past 10 years.
