Mass balance and prospecting orientation of Jinchuan magmatic Ni-Cu(PGE) sulfide deposit

1 Geological introductionThe Jinchuan ultramafic intrusion is a dyke-like body with an elongate surface expression of about 6500m by 20-527m and its cropout of 1.34km2. the intrusion strikes 310 and dips 50-80SW, intruded the Baijiazuizi formation of the Longshoushan group of the pre-changcheng system and in direct contact with gneisses, marbles, banded migmatites, plagioclase amphibolites and granulites of the Baijiazuizi formation. There are no chilling margins observed at contacts of the intrusion but can be seen the contact alterations and shearing deformations at them. The Jinchuan ultramafic intrusion is subdivided into four sections by a series of northeast-trending strike-slip faults. These four sections, in the order of their discovery, gave rise to the mining districts Ⅲ, Ⅰ, Ⅱ and Ⅳ from west to east, respectively. The mining district I is an open-pit mine that comprises only No. 24 ore-body.
