Genesis and geochemical characteristics of zirconium enriched minerals in Jinchuan ultra-mafic body
Zircon, baddeleyite and zirkelite are three accessory minerals riched in zirconium, occurred within Jinchuan ultramafic body, which are hosted in plagioclase lherzolite. The mother minerals are pyroxene, plagioclase and ilmenite. There were two kinds of Zircon, some were large size (30-1300 μm), hosted in orthopyroxene. The other were small size (<30 μm), usually found on the edge and crevice of baddeleyite and the zircon increase with the SiO2 content of the mother rock increase.Baddeleyite may divided into three kinds: ① orthopyroxene, clinopyxene, plagioclase hosted. ② around zirkelite. ③ ilmenite hosted.Zirkelite existed in clinopyxene, plagioclase and ilmenite, EPMA result, Raman spectroscopy, CL imaging, XRD reference suggest it is amorphous. There were baddeleyite and ilmenite around zirkelite except plagioclase hosted zirkelite.
