A study for basic and ultra-basic magma activities at the southern part of Jinchuan Cu-Ni sulfide ore deposit, Gansu province, China-Types, distribution and metamorphism
1 IntroductionAfter many publishes introducing the deposit (e.g. The 6th geological team of Gansu province, 1984; Tang et al., 1995; Tang & Li, 2002; Tang et al., 2006), the Jinchuan deposit, nowadays, as one of the largest copper and nickel sulfide deposits is well-know by the world. However, most of the researches focused on the mining area.A detailed geological mapping (1:10000) and geophysical-geochemical survey were carried out at the peripheral region last year. Some new understandings for the basic and ultra-basic magmatic activities were got based on the detailed petrologic and petro-geochemistry study. Here, we present the results form the investigation.
