The contribution of hydrothermal activities to Jinchuan Ni-Cu-PGE sulfide deposit
The Jinchuan intrusion hosts one of the largest magmatic Ni-Cu sulfide deposits in the world. Since the discovery of the deposit, many experts think that it is the magmatic differentiated sulfide deposit, but field mapping and petrological-geochemical investigation of the Jinchuan intrusion suggest that it is not only the result of magmatic differentiated effection, but also in the process of diagenesis and tectonic metamorphism, hydrothermal activity has an important contribution to mineralization. Cu-PGE-rich ores are domain characterized by vein, which is a direct result of the hydrothermalism.
