Metallogenic magmatism of Huangshan Cu-Ni sulfide deposit in Xinjiang, west China

1 IntroelutionThe Huangshan Cu-Ni sulfide deposit hosted in a mafic-ultramafic layered intrusion is one deposit of the Huangshan-Jingerquan Permian magmatic Ni-Cu-(PGE) sufide metallogenic belt of the Central Asian orogenic belt. The Huangshan intrusion intruded in Gandun formation sandstones, carbonaceous siltstones and interlayered limestones. Forty discrete orebodies are hosted by lherzolite and olivine websterite of the Huangshan intrusion with a SHRIMP U-Pb zircon age of 269±2Ma (Zhou et al., 2004) close to the age of Tarin Permian basalt.
