Fabrication and Photo-catalytic Properties Nanosized TiO2 Film
Preparation process of nano-sized TiO2 thin film is studied, and the firm TiO2 glass thin films with nano-crys-talline have been prepared by the sol-gel processing using tetrabutyl titanate as a precursor in this paper. On this basis, using high voltage lamp as light source, the photo-catalytic activities of TiO2 thin film were studied in the 10μg/ml Methy-lene bule solution. The heat treatment temperature was chosen by using TG-DTA, the microstructure of the film was analyzed by XRD, the surface appearance of the film was analyzed by SEM and the effect of sintering temperature on the photocatalytic property was anayzed. The results showed as following: The TiO2 sol with a ratio for 6:50:1.5:1.5 with HNO3(pH= 3) at room temperature was steady, epigranular, flaxen and crystal. After adding the polyethylene glycol (PEG) 600, TiO2 sol was coated five times on a common slide with dipping-pulling method and sintered for 1 h at 570℃ . The TiO2 film with two phase of anatase and rutile was prepared and the ratio of rutile is 17.7% . Comparing to the anatase TiO2 film, the photocatalytic degradation rate is improved. The photocatalytic degradation rate of this TiO2 film coating to methylene blue is highest to 68.2% . Moreover, the TiO2 film is combined firmly with slide.
