One-Step Synthesis of Perovskite LaCrO3 Nanopowders by Mcrowave Induced Combustion of Metal Nitrate-Glycine Mizture Solution

In the work, well-dispersed perovskite LaCrO3 powders with average crystallite size of about 16 nm have been synthesized by one step via microwave induced solution combustion reaction using glycine as fuel and correspondant nitrates asoxidants. The simutaneous thermogravity and differential thermal analysis (TG-DTA) were used to study the auto-combustion and thermal decomposition of the precursor. The effects of glycine-nitrate molar ratio (G/N) and heat-treatment temperature on the perovskite-phase formation and crystallite size of as-burnt powder were studied by powder X-ray diffractometry (XRD). The morphology and size of as-burnt powders were characterized by and transmission electron microscopy (TEM).
