A Study on Preparation of Nano-iron Ozide Red Pigment Powders

In recent years, a large amount of acidic wastewater is produced during the bio-oxidation process of gold ore;the most successful method for dealing with such existing metallurgical wastewater is lime-molysite. However, the existing methods for dealing with arsenic waste water are with disadvantages that they produce a large quantity of sediment residue, which not only consume the massive manpower, the physical resource and the financial resource, take the massive arable land, also result in damage to the ecological environment. At present, the treatment of arsenic wastewater is limited to solidification, and valuable elements cannot be reused, resulting in a serious waste of resources. According to the difference of chemical deposition behavior of arsenic and iron ion in the different pH value solution, valuable element Fe was first recovered by the selective deposition and then it was used to prepare nano-iron oxide red pigment powders in order to effectively utilize and recycle valuable elements from acidity arsenic wastewater of bio-oxidation of gold ore, which was meaningful both theoretically and practically.
