Preparation of CeMgAl11O19 by High-temperature Ball-milling Method
CeMgAl11 O19 phosphor was prepared by the combination of the chemical precipitation and high-temperature ball-milling method. The sintered temperatures of these two methods were compared. Meanwhile, the particle distribution and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis was carried out and the optimally prepared temperature was found. Ce(NO3)3 ·6H2O, Mg(NO3)2-6H2O, Al(NO3)3·6H2O were used as raw materials and NH3·H2O as precipitant, the chemical precipitation method was used to produce precursos. The spheric CeMgAl11O19 powder was obtained with heat preservation for an hour at 130013 and the averaged particle size was about 48 nm. Also, the orbed CeMgAl11O19 phosphor with average size of about 40 nm and homogeneously distributed was achieved by the process which involved preparing precursor with chemical precipitation method, drying the precursor and ball milling at 900℃ . Against limitations of conventional preparing methods, high temperature ball milling methods was used in this work. By means of two steps method of preparing precursos and ball milling of thermal decomposition, the CeMgAl11O19 rare earth green phosphors were obtained. Compared with chemical precipitation, the sintering temperature was decreased effectively with this process and the CeMgAl11O19 powder with minor diameter and uniform dispersion was obtained. Through the present study of using high temperature ball milling to prepare rare earth phosphors in this thesis, the method or measure about the research of rare earth phosphors was developed.
