Research on Grain Size Characterization Methods of Clastic Rocks

A lot of information about the statistics of grain size we obtained can not effectively characterize the essence of clastic sedimentary or can not solve the problem of telling differences from clastic rock either. Therefore, a new Characterization methods of grain size mixed distribution has been put forward in this paper, that s called disassembled graph method of grain size parent population. The distribution model of grain size parent population of clastic rock has been set up by the means of researching the ways of the basic theory. Meanwhile, comparing the probability graph method with disassembled graph method of grain size parent population, this paper discussed the possibility of indicating the grain size of clastic rock by applying two sorts of ways.
