Research on Ignition Mechanism of Dust Clouds

With the development of modern industry, the potential risk of dust explosion is greatly increased. So, dust explosion hazard is a very important subject for safety management. Because dust explosion experiments are affected by a number of factors, ignition mechanism of dust clouds or dust explosion is of great significance for dust explosion prevention and mitigation. This article analyses the ignition mechanism of dust clouds, the ignition criteria, classification of ignition mechanism on the base of thermal explosion theory and provides a reference for both theoretical analysis of the ignition process of dust clouds and the numerical simulation of it.
