Development and Application on Data Platform of Sintering Process Controlling Based on OPC

In sintering process, equipments related to data communication are many and systems are complicated. Furthermore, data interfaces provided by different equipments and systems are various. These bring many difficulties for developing the intelligence control system of sintering process, its important to develop a general data communication platform of sintering process. The technological standard and object model of OPC (OLE for Process Control) were studied;a data communication platform which uses OPC Server as the core function frame was designed. It offers a high speed data channel between the platform and other physical or monitoring software interfaces, such as DCS, SCADA, RS485. A practical online software system was also developed based on the programming language C + + and technology of COM (Component Object Model). The system was applied in Baosteel, Jigang Group and Nanjing Iron and Steel. Its data communication is stable, reliable, providing a data platform for developing the intelligence control system of sintering process.
