Measurement of Dust Electrical Resistivity Using Disk Method
A dust resistivity (DR) measurement system was developed for laboratory test in given conditions of temperature and humidity according the international standard ASME/PTC28-4-5. It can display the curve of electric current with voltage up. Silicon controlled rectifier (SCR) was used to regulate the voltage of the electric heating wire to control the temperature. An ultrasonic humidifier was used to control the humidity. Programmable logic controller (PLC) was used to carry out the data acquisition and control during test process. A computer was connected with the PLC by Ethernet to record the real-time test parameters. The software for determination of DR was developed using C # in the platform of Microsoft Visual Studio. Net 2008. Remote control was realized by OLE for process control technology (OPC). Experimental results using manual and automatic ways were compared and dust resistivity of some kinds of dusts were tested. Experimental results showed that, the developed device is in conformity with the relevant standards. The temperature and humidity control of the environmental simulation box and determination of dust resistivity meet the designing requirements.
