Research on ground-vibration-attenuation effect by SSRF foundation
The electron beam stability is one of the most important issues for third-generation light source, especially for the Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility (SSRF), whose ground vibration is much larger than other light source for relatively softer soil and deeper bedrock. In order to arrive at the design criterion brought forward by physics, we have used about 1000 piles with 0.6 m diameter down to 48 m underground, slab of 1450 mm thick for the storage ring tunnel and the experiment hall. This paper concentrates on the investigation of the vibration of the SSRF foundation. Measurement results show that SSRF foundation has obvious vibration-attenuation effect, and if the vehicles with weights equal to or above 10 ton are prohibited on the road nearby, the ground vibration in storage ring tunnel can be arrived at the physical criterion. The conclusions of this paper can give some valuable suggestions for the ground design of the further similar projects.
