Calculation of the Crystal Location in Vacuum Thermal Process Producing Magnesium
In the experiment, boron mud was used to extract magnesium by the method of vacuum thermal. The boron mud contented Na2O at 1.26%. In order to avoid the magnesic loss resulting from alkali metal burning, when the retort was opened and met oxygen. We must take a simple and effective way to separate sodium from magnesium. Paper combined such factors as the volume of retort, the reaction rate and the mass of produced magnesium, and calculated the crystal location of magnesium and sodium. The retort that was designed in this way can completely separated sodium from magnesium crystal, and obtained good results.
