The Interdiffusion Behavior Between Ti60 Titanium Alloy and Arc-ion Plating Ti-48Al-12Cr Coating
The interdiffusion behavior between Ti60 titanium alloy and its protective arc-ion plating (AIP) Ti-48Al-12Cr (atomic fraction, %)) coating at 800℃, 850℃ and 900℃ in vacuum were studied. The results showed that apparently interdiffusion occurred between Ti60 and Ti-48Al-12Cr coating. The thicknesses of diffusion layers are correlated with time and temperature, especially with temperature. The growth of interdiffusion layer is diffusion controlled and follows parabolic rule at three temperatures.
