The Behavior of Silicon Diozide in The Process of Aluminum Metallurgy in Low Valence Method
This paper induces the reaction of silicon dioxide when aluminum oxide and bauxite is used in the process of low valence aluminum fluoride aluminum metallurgy. The experiment whose temperature is above 1400℃ shows that Silicon dioxide could be changed in four ways:①be reduced to simple substance silicon, and carbonized to SiC; ②be reduced to simple substance silicon, and generate ferrosilicon with reduecd Fe; ③the silicon dioxide reacts with cryolite, generating aluminosilicate in the gas phase; ④generates gas of silicon tetra-fluoride with cryolite, and generates Na2SiF6 in condensation phase with the sodium fluoride discomposed by cryolite.
