Virtual Manufacturing of TMP Rotor Based on UG CAM
Digital simulation for manufacturing process is an important part of virtual manufacturing technology, which would provide key data for the manufacturing analysis of products at product designing stage. The present study was based on the UG CAD geometric modeling for turbo-molecular pump (TMP) unitary rotor, and simulated the manufacturing process and checked the over-cutting or under-cutting for TMP blades by UG CAM integrated simulation and verification (IS&V) module. The original code of tool path for single impeller manufacturing was transformed into NC code of HSM 600U 5-axis super-high machine center by its post-process module to manufacturing TMP unitary rotor. The result of TMP rotor virtual manufacturing is shown that UG CAM is an available tool to optimizing design and NC programming for TMP unitary rotor manufacturing.
