Design and Analysis of Magnetic Heads with LTO2 Format

摘要：

The magnetic heads with LTO2 format used in data storage in server are anisotropic magnetoresistive (AMR) heads. Key parameters are optimized in the design of the LTO2 magnetic heads, such as coil design, the thickness of NiFe and SAL(CoZrMo), the rat io of NiFe/SAL ,Gap between shields and the ratio of Ga1/Gap2. A good design is adopted, and key parameters, such as raw error rate and viterbi distance, meet requirement; the performance of AMR magnetic heads meets design expectation.
