Motivation for Product Innovation-the Case of Manufacturing Companies in China
This paper aims at identifying what actually motivates Chinese Manufacturing companies for product innovation and what they expect to motivate them in the future. Using a questionnaire-based approach, a survey was conducted from five manufacturing companies namely; Haier, C- Bons Group, Midea, Wuhan Economy Technique Development Area Dongjiang Commerce cl. Ltd and Dongfeng Peugeot Cit roen Automobile Company Ltd. The outcome of the analysis of 352 respondents revealed that, Financial Rewards index had the highest point for both the actual and expectations. However, majority think that, Job security is the least motivation factor for product innovation.
