Social Capital and Internal Coordination of Technological Innovation in Chinese Private Manufacturing Enterprises: The Case of Jinma Bearing and Kaite Electric
The incremental innovation in Chinese private manufacturing enterprises is based on experience exchange and knowledge share. It is necessary to establish an efficient internal coordination that will compensate workers for the positive externality in share of experience and knowledge. This paper analyzes two comparative cases restricted by different social capital in private manufacturing enterprises in Zhejiang Province of China, and concludes that social capital will compensate for the positive externality in internal coordination and promote the efficiency of internal coordination.
