Analysis of Determinants of Inter-Regional Equalization of Basic Medical Care in China

摘要：

The paper employs Panel Data Analysis to study the determinants of inter-regional equalization of basic medical care in China. Results show that the basic medical care equalization level is positively correlated with the inter-provincial economic development, local authority bias, degree of financial decentralization, marketizat ion and urbanization level; while negatively correlated with the local govern ments fiscal capacity, centra l government transference payment variat ions, and the degree of opening to the outside world.
