Evolution of Business Contracts and Corporate Social Responsibility

Although corporations are busy adopting and enhancing CSR practices, there is (beyond very few notable exceptions) no established empirica l research on CSRs impact and relevance in the capital market. Author holds a point of view that the meaning of CSR is changing in various corporate governance structures and contractual relations. Different governance structures under social contractual relationship determine the main content of corporate social responsibility. This paper investigates this issue by tracing the impact factors to CSR from the aspect of corporate governance. More importantly, based on the degree of overlap between social expectations and Community responding, companies will improve the response process and policies through the study of social responsibility.
