Organizational Justice as a Mediator between Paternalistic Leadership and Organizational Retaliation Behavior
While paternalistic leadership is e xpected to have impact on emp loyees performance, its impact on organizat ional retaliatory behavior has not been explored. Based on a survey o f 265 employees in four provinces in China, the present paper found that (a) authoritarian leadership had positive impact on organizational retaliation behavior whereas both benevolent leadership and moral leadership had negative impact on organizational retaliation behavior; (b) interpersonal justice fully mediated the relationship between benevolence leadership and organizational retaliatory behavior and partly mediated the relat ionship between authoritarian leadership and organizat ional retaliation behav ior; (c) procedural justice fully mediated the relationship between benevolence leadership and organizational retaliat ion behavior and partly mediated the relationship between authoritarian leadership and organizational retaliatory behavior.
