Factors Affecting on the Organizational form of Public Technological Platforms in China
A series of Public Technological Platforms (PTPs) has emerged in China over the recent years, and has been regarded as a key institutional reform for promoting industrial innovation. Yet, the development of PTPs has been on experimental stage, and some key issues remain ambiguous. One of them is how to select an appropriate organizational form which is vital for PTPs. This paper discusses two organizational forms including of joint venture and non-equity alliance. It analyses six factors affecting the organizational forms selection for PTPs. On the basis of this, this pap er presents a conceptual model of organizat ional form selection for PTPs.
