FDI, Financial Development of Host Countries and Technological Progress

摘要：

Many policy makers and scholars believe that the foreign direct investment can promote host countries technological progress and economic g rowth, but the results of empirica l research have shown that the effects of technological progress and economic growth in many developing countries are not clear. The main reason is that the effects depend on host countries absorptive capacity. In recent years, the financial development becomes a new perspective about the host countries FDI absorptive capacity. This article summa rizes and analyzes the results of domestic and foreign scholars research so as to provide reference for domestic related research.
