Supply Chain Organization: Innovative Design and Management
Understanding supply chain management (SCM) in terms of the concepts of organizat ion is becoming increasingly important in the business management discipline, but there is lots of ambiguity and confusion about it in academia and business community. This paper focuses on the supply chain organization (SCO) and discusses the notion, attributes and structure of SCO in the perspective of industry organization theory. While designing a SCO system is not a general discussion about the relationships and structures, but an issue of organizational reengineering and implementation according to specific conditions and practical situations. This paper describes the contents and process o f innovational design and implementation management of SCO. The results can be useful to better understand the implication and significance of SCM.
