Research on How Human Capital and Social Capital Impact Self-Employment Motivation-Case Study from Laid-off Unemployed Workers in Xi`an City

The laid-off unemp loyed workers re-employment problem is one of the major problems for government and social concerns. Under the national policy, a growing number of laid -off workers are looking forward to their own businesses independently. This article takes the laid-o ff workers hu man capital as a basic point, introducing the social capital theory, and utilizing the path analysis method. We found human capital and social capital are interacted, but the social capital is more important than human capital; their co mbined action has an salience influence on the founders performance.
