Study on the Relationship among Learning Orientation, Knowledge Creation and International New Venture’s Performance
International New Venture (INV) is a business organization that, from inception, seeks to derive significant competit ive advantage from the use of resources from and the sale of outputs to multiple countries. This study combines learning orientation and knowledge creation to develop a general model of INVs performance. The paper analy zes this model using a structure equation model approach, with 86 INVs in Yangtze River Delta in China selected as the samples of this study. The results indicate that learning orientation positively affects knowledge creation, and knowledge creation has significant effect on INVs performance, but lea rning orientation does not have direct impact on INVs performance. Furthermore , our results provide evidence that knowledge creation plays a med iating role between learning orientation and INVs performance. The results suggest that significant benefits can be achieved for INVs performance by fostering knowledge creation.
