The Impact of the Intellectual Property Regulation on the Diffusion of the Technology Innovation: A Study Based on Game Theory
The process of the diffusion of the technological innovation has strong externalit ies, if the profits of the owner can not be protected, the free-rider phenomenon will be a common result which will terminate the spread of the technological. Therefore, effective regulations of the transaction of intellectual property rights should establish to protect the owners profits and promote the diffusion of the technological innovation. This paper built an intellectual property regulation model and an reputation model with the game theory, and we found that the measures of the regulation should rise the opportunity cost of the offenders and reduce the governments supervise cost in the same time to ma ke the technological innovation diffusion prosperous.
