The Impact of America’ SPS Measures on Chinas Horticultural Ezports to America

This paper aims to study the impact of A me rica s application of SPS measures on Chinas horticultural export to America. Using the Gravity Model, the st udy selects the quarterly data of Ch inas horticultural export in recent years to analyze the impact. The result shows that, other variables remain ing unchanged, with an influential lag length of one quarter, every 1％s increase of SPS notification in previous quarter will result in 8％s decrease of Chinese horticultural e xport to A merica. As an important non-tariff trade barrier, current SPS measures has a negative influence on exporting Chinas horticultura l products to American, which deserves special at tention.
