Data Sharing in Campus Network
By analyzing the current situation of data sharing between web applications and the different characteristics between campus network and Web, we propose two primary goals in designing a new data sharing system for campus network, which are giving the control of data back to the user and utilizing the existing infrastructure in a campus network. To accomplish these two goals, a new design of a data sharing system for campus network is presented. The three parties in this new system: Consumer, Data Provider and Certification Server are defined and the interaction process among them is explained in detail. A prototype system is implemented to demonstrate our design, some limitations and existing issues of this design are also given in this paper.
