Application of a New Testing Method in On-line Testing for VRLA Battery
By comparing various testing methods, a new on-line testing method of the valve regulated lead acid battery (VRLA) battery, namely, four-wire and two-probe method (FWTPM) is proposed based on the performance index, failure mechanism, and testing methods of VRLA battery. The foundation of the FWTPM is expatiated. The test steps are also provided. Meanwhile, the paper also analyses the major factors influencing testing precision, brings forward measures adopted to improve the testing precision and computes the measuring error of the testing system.
