Optimization design of low-voltage driven electrophoresis microchip and Simulation of Separation Process

In this work, the model of low voltage driven electrophoresis microchip was established by using CoventorWare and ANSYS software. The structure parameters of the microchip were optimized by analysing of simulant results about the heat field, electrical field and flow field in the microchannels, Many factors, such as material of microchip, size of microchip, size of array electrodes, space of array electrodes, space for applied voltage, material of insulating layer,size of insulating layer and so on, were optimized. Otherwise, the influence of operational condition was also researched by the simulation, such as species of buffer, concentration of buffer, applied voltage. At last, the structure parameters and some operational condition were determinate through the simulation of the microchip model and measurement of the sample separation and analysis.The optimization and simulation in this paper proposed guidance for microchip design and a comparison in theory.
