The Theoretical and Ezperimental Research for Method of Statistical Estimation about Roundness Error

The method of statistical estimation about roundness error is studied more in depth in aspects of theoretical and experimental. The paper also gives evaluation parameters and mathematical model that could be used for the actual of data processing about the statistical estimation of roundness error. On this basis, a large number of experiments has been done, the results of experiments has also been done in statistical analysis method. The results indicate that more than 90% of the measured radius of circular cross-section changes in the distribution of the amount in keeping with the normal distribution of censored type. It is verified that roundness error statistics is in line with the normally distributed. The experiment results for the statistical estimation about roundness error show that we can make full use of the characteristics of sampling points for the random variable by the method of statistical estimation, the method of statistical iestimation used to calculate the roundness error can avoid the impact of gross error, it also can effectively reduce the rate of mis-rejection of the parts.
