The LED Tip-timing Optical Fiber Sensor
In order to research the design method and references to build tip-timing optical fiber sensor, a one dimension integrating formula has been derived from the reflection of Gaussian beam and experimental results. This formula could be used to calculate the characteristics of LED tip-timing optical fiber sensor rapidly with the personal computer for the purpose to design the optimized sensor. The calculating results with the formula above for the LED tip-timing optical fiber sensor have shown what sensor would has the maximum optimal signal to noise ratio and the best waveform of receiving optical power, and an array structure for the LED tip-timing sensor has been proposed.
