Numerical Simulation for some certain Submarine Bullets Ezterior Ballistic
In order to investigate the exterior ballistic for some certain submarine bullet, the bullet-water couple model is built by using LS-DYNA and the simulation is done. The bullet adopts the elastic-plastic material model and the water adopts the null model and equation of state of Gruneisen, the ALE algorithm couple key word is added between bullet and water, thus the complete model is defined. By giving the fixed boundary condition for the water, the model is submitted to the solver. The numerical simulation results indicate: the submarine bullets velocity drops fast and it drifts due to lifting force, whats more, the cavity behind bullet occurs and becomes longer and larger in radius direction, and the suction pressure blocks the bullets motion. Thus the suggestion of importing bottom blowout technology is submitted. The research of this paper can give some reference for better understanding exterior ballistic for submarine bullet.
