The slope stability analysis by using harmony search algorithm and Spline function
The harmony search algorithm was developed recently and has been used in many related fields. The Spline function is adopted to yield the potential slip surface in slope stability analysis, the factor of safety of the potential slip surface is obtained by upper bound method. The critical slip surface having the minimum factor of safety can be gotten by the harmony search algorithm. The stability of typical soil slope is performed by the method proposed this paper and the results have shown the good agreement with those results from the published reports.
