A fast computation method for generalized cross correlation

A fast computation method for generalized cross correlation has been discussed in the paper. It first uses large steps during the cross calculation for searching the area of the maxim cross result point, then calculate and find the actual maxim point in a narrowed area via one by one step. Simulation and test results show that this method can reduce the time consumption to 1/4~1/8 compare to the direct computation. It has been implemented in a wireless node for acoustic localization computation.
