Measurement of Original Reservoir Parameters from Time-Lapse SFL-ILM-ILD Combination Devices
Formation-resistivity profile changes with invasion time, the responses of combining spherically focused log (SFL), medium- and deep- induction (ILM and ILD) are time dependent. A numerical model is suggested to calculate the time-dependent apparent resistivity of combining SFL-ILM-ILD device. It provides reliable results for physical understanding of dynamic invasion process. The present work indicates that the arrangement in magnitude order of apparent resistivity RILD, RILM and RSFL is useful to evaluate a reservoir qualitatively and to determine the boundary between oil and water zone. A quantitative analysis method is especially suggested to obtain the best estimations of true-formation resistivity and original water saturation by matching field SFL-ILM-ILD field data historically.
