Study on Dynamic Diagnostic Technique in Potential Safety Hazard of Airport Taziway Bridge

It has been a hot problem that how to test the mechanical properties of taxiway bridge quickly and accurately for ensuring the safe operation. Taxiway bridge, whose load is more than twenty times of that of common bridge, is characterized by high loading, high mechanical performance and low tolerance of traffic interruption. So, the common static load detection technique is not applicable to it. In this paper, the dynamic test and analysis technique is applied to diagnose the health condition of taxiway bridge with the passage of aeroplane on it. The aeroplane-bridge coupled model is 1simulated with dynamic finite element method. The variation parameters of the modal, such as vibration frequency, vibration mode, etc. are systematically analyzed under differed couple load. Also, in order to determine the optimum detection parameter, the sensitivity of the first two orders linear or torsion vibration frequency to plane load are studied. The correlation between the optimal detection parameter of the aeroplane-bridge coupled system and the different model load is analyzed. Then the modal of Taxiway-bridge Vibration Mode Detection (TVMD) is proposed. In the model, the standard mode-load curve of taxiway bridge is defined. The measured curve below the standard curve means damaged taxiway bridge. Conversely, an reverse side curve represents a healthy taxiway bridge performance. Finally the in-situ modal test is carried out on NO.5 taxiway bridge in the Capital Airport in Peking and the validity and accuracy of the model is verified. This conclusion provides a valuable reference for mechanical property test of taxiway bridge by non-destruction technique.
