The Target Acquisition Performance Modeling for The Overall Design of IRST on Battle Tank
The IRST on battle tank is a new imaging system that help the Chief of battle tank to find targets more easily and tirelessly. For the limiting space of the battle tank, the trade-off between size and weight, MTF and SNR, or new technology feasibility evaluation is weighted more heavily than ever. A new target acquisition performance characterization method is introduced which includes three components: ideal observation assumptions, infrared imager model and measurement model. The limiting factors of the method is also discussed.
