Correlation Peak Recognition Technique Based on Grey Distribution

In optical correlation recognition, distinguishing effectively the correlation peak signal on the correlation output plane is the key to essure the accuracy of image recognizing. Because the accuracy of threshold method is low, the peak-to-neighborhood average ratio is taken as distinction criterion in this paper,which makes full use of the grey distribution characteristic. The experiment results show that the method can distinguish effectively between correlation peak and noise, and improve the reliability of optical correlation recognition, and reduce the occurrence of miscarriage of justice.
