A New False-Color Image Fusion Algorithm Based on Lαβ Color Space

摘要：

Image fusion is widely used in distinguishing the military disguise, especially the false color image fusion algorithm. Among the existing fusion algorithms, the false color technique is more effective for this purpose. Under the guidance of Opponent-process Theory, a new false-color image fusion algorithm based on Lαβ color space to fuse infrared image and visible image is proposed by contrasting the RGB color space and the Lαβ color space. Compared to RGB methord, the color fusion image generated by this algorithm not only reserves the background information,but also stands out the target information．In a word, the color of false color fusion image is more vivid and natural than the RGB algorithm.
