A Design of GPS Receivers RF Front-end applied in rotating body

The paper proposes a design for the circuit of the GPS RF front-end. The chips of traditional GPS receivers are not applicable to the situations where the rotating vectors are rotating at high speed, the signals received are modulated by rotation, and the quality of signals received is subject to the negative impact of great variability of rotating modulation, dynamic range and signal-noise ratio. The design proposed in this paper is based on low IF system architecture. Noise matching, degree of linearity, impedance matching and gain are considered in designing the circuits of the RF front-end, down conversion mixer of the GPS receiver. The design proposed is of higher flexibility in terms of parameter setting or modification, higher degree of band rejection, and greater AGC range, and greater resistibility to noises, and thus enhances gain, precision and stability in high frequency signal processing for the GPS receiver.
