Theory of Cellular Automata and Its Application in Image Edge Detection
Cellular automata is a dynamical system in which space and time are discrete, and it has been successfully applied to the complex study of natural science and social science, so its a very important tool. This paper presents a new edge detection based on a cellular automata model, and shows that in comparison with other operators, cellular automata is a better method by the detection on binary and gray-scaled images.
