The study of plant disease monitoring system based on DSP
This paper mainly provides the hardware design of image acquisition, compression and transmission in the DSP- based system for monitoring plant disease. The image data is collected through CCD video camera, the compression uses EZW(Embedded Zero-tree Wavelet) coding, the chip TMS320DM642 is used to encode image data and transmit the compressed data to control center for further process through internet. The control center is in charge of plant image data analysis and disease diagnose. Using EZW coding can reduce transmission bandwidth and storage space requirements. At the same time, it can realize real-time transmission.
