Performance Comparison between Two Kinds of Filtering Algorithms for Target-track Prediction
Generally, both the Kalman filtering algorithm and the Least Square filtering algorithm are all applied to target-track prediction of fire-control system. In this paper, simulations have been done individually for the two algorithms in the conditions of uniform linear motion and uniformly accelerated linear motion. By analyzing and comparing the simulation results, we can draw some conclusions which are very useful for engineering application of filtering algorithms.
