Lane Detection and Recognition Algorithm Based on Sweep-line
Lane detection and recognition is one of the important components for vision based guidance system of intelligent vehicle. It is presents a lane detection and recognition algorithm based on sweep-line. The road markings are extracted fully from the image by using color information. First, by means of scanning to extract the lane-pixels, and then utilized spline function to assemble the scattered line segments. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can robust to various road environment, including straight, curve, and even in a complex condition present significant disturbance produced by shadows, vehicles around or other white markings on road, the algorithm can also work in a robust way.
